Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a network of connected devices that collect and exchange data via sensors, enabling improved monitoring and control of various processes. IoT systems are studied in the fields of energy, water, waste, and agriculture, where they assist in reducing or limiting resource consumption, optimizing costs and minimizing negative environmental impacts. This paper focuses on implementing IoT technology for sustainable resource management, addressing key challenges such as high costs, data security and technical infrastructure. The conclusion is that IoT is a key factor for sustainable development and a positive step towards the next generation of green and digital economies.
