Abstract

The impact of climate change on various segments of our lives is becoming increasingly pronounced, and it is necessary to include professionals and science in their assessment and monitoring, in order to improve processes related to adaptation to changes, both at the macro and micro levels. There are numerous indicators that clearly indicate significant changes in
the living environment, due to climate disturbances, which require systematic monitoring, specifically in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose territory encompasses different climatic zones, and thus different impacts on the environment. It is precisely climate intertwining that requires the development of complex monitoring and its specific evaluation, in order to reduce vulnerability to climate change. This paper therefore addresses previous efforts and adaptations to climate change, and raises questions and suggests solutions for specific monitoring, according to the characteristics of the locations of local government units.
