The Una National Park is located in a picturesque area on the state border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. The Una National Park, with its ecological and tourist capacities, operates in accordance with the provisions of the Law on National Parks. However, the overall perspective and functionality in the protection of the resources of the Una National Park largely depends on the applicable legal regulations, starting from the local community, to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, which regulate individual issues within the scope of the activities of the National Park. Since there is a common interest in the development of tourist and ecological capacities, while the international position of the country nevertheless
determines certain conditions and directions of development. The paper will examine the current legal, ecological, and touristic dimension in this area, focusing on some practical and concrete current legal issues and problems that prevent the faster development and functionality of the Una National Park. The paper aims to encourage a positive process of qualitative improvement of the legal, ecological, and touristic potential of the Una National Park, and thus the ecological, touristic economy of the Bihać region and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
