Abstract

The transportation process is a process that can be controlled with the use of intelligent
transport method which is particularly related to the safety management of traffic, which would
significantly reduce the number of dead, injured persons, or material damage. As part of ITS, are
developed intelligent vehicles, intelligent road, wireless "smart" cards to pay for transportation,
adaptive systems of crossroads, efficient public transport, automatic answer and positioning the
vehicle in the accident, biometric systems to protect passengers, etc. The essence of ITS is to integrate
individual solutions starting from common ITS architecture and fully developed system specifications.
EU considers an important part of its transport policy the research of resource in efficient transport
that takes care of environmental protection in all types travel. "Smart, green and integrated transport"
has been identified as a major challenge of financing the project in the framework of EU research
"Obzor 2020 "for the period 2014th-2020th, which seeks to ensure that Europe has up to date with
technological advances in transport.
